Returns & Refunds

Our products are handmade, perishable baked goods. Our return and refund policy reflects that reality.
1. All sales final
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Once an order is placed and shipped or fulfilled, it cannot be returned for a refund.
2. Exception: Significant damage in shipping
If your box arrives significantly damaged in shipping, we will make it right. This applies to:
- Crushed or destroyed packaging that ruined the contents
- Spoiled or melted contents on arrival (when caused by carrier delays beyond our control)
- Missing items that were on your order receipt
- Items that arrived in unsafe condition (e.g., punctured packaging)
To request a replacement or refund for damage:
- Email sweetelevationbakery@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery
- Include your order number and clear photos of the damage
- We will respond within 2 business days and either ship a replacement, issue a partial refund, or issue a full refund at our discretion
3. What does not qualify for a refund
- Minor cosmetic imperfections (cookies break sometimes, they still taste great)
- You forgot to refrigerate the box and it spoiled
- You did not like a particular flavor
- You placed the wrong order
- The package was marked delivered but you say you did not receive it (carrier claims must be filed with the carrier directly; we will assist where possible)
- Reports of damage made more than 24 hours after delivery
4. Subscription cancellations
The Bake Club Box subscription can be canceled anytime before the next month's box is packed and labeled. Cancel via Shopify's customer portal or email us directly at sweetelevationbakery@gmail.com.
Once a box is packed and labeled for shipment, that specific charge and order cannot be reversed. The subscription itself can still be stopped before the next cycle. We do not provide partial refunds for partially used billing periods.
5. Chargebacks
If you have an issue with an order, please contact us first at sweetelevationbakery@gmail.com. We will work to resolve it. Filing a chargeback without contacting us is considered a violation of these terms and may result in a permanent ban from future purchases.
6. Custom orders
Custom orders (cakes, cookies, cake pops, platters, etc.) are handled separately through MyCustomBakes.com and have their own deposit, deadline, and cancellation policies communicated at quote time.
