1. What we collect

Information you give us directly

• Custom quote forms: name, email, phone, event details, anything else you submit
• Career applications: name, email, phone, work history, references, anything else you submit
• Wedding and event inquiries: name, email, phone, event details
• Online orders: name, shipping and billing address, payment information (processed by our payment processors, not stored by us directly)

Information collected automatically

• Google Analytics: page visits, time on site, device type, approximate city-level location, traffic source
• Google Ads: click tracking and conversion measurement if you arrive from one of our ads
• Cookies: small data files used by Google Analytics, Google Ads, Shopify, and similar services to help these tools function and measure performance

2. Who else handles your data

We use third-party services to run our business. Some of your information passes through them:

• Shopify: handles payment processing, checkout, shipping calculation, subscriptions, and order management for online sales (shopify.com/legal/privacy)
• Formspree: receives form submissions from our website and emails them to us (formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy)
• Google Analytics and Google Ads: traffic tracking and ad measurement (policies.google.com/privacy)
• DoorDash: handles delivery if you order through their service
• Facebook and Instagram (Meta): if you interact with our pages on those platforms
• USPS and UPS: shipping carriers, given your address to deliver your order

3. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Process and ship your orders
• Respond to custom quote and event inquiries
• Review job applications
• Understand which pages on our site are useful
• Measure whether our ads work
• Send you order updates, shipping notifications, and occasional emails about Bake Club or seasonal offerings if you signed up for them

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with advertisers beyond what Google Analytics and Google Ads automatically collect.

• Order records: indefinitely for tax, accounting, and customer service
• Form submissions: typically 1 to 3 years
• Analytics data: per Google Analytics default settings (currently 14 months)
• Cookies: vary by service, usually under 1 year

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of personal data we have about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your personal data (except where we are legally required to keep it, like tax records)
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using their browser opt-out add-on

6. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We do not store full payment information ourselves. That is handled by Shopify and other PCI-compliant processors. Data sent through our site uses HTTPS encryption. No online service is 100% secure, but we use reputable providers and follow standard practices.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
